The new year is upon us and our holidays are already a foggy memory. I’m not normally one for new years resolutions, in fact many years ago, I made one more resolution: “no more resolutions”. And I actually kept that. This year, I’ve decided to resolve that it’s going to be a year of change – change to better health, change in focus, change in direction and strategy. Change also in appreciation of the people around us, realizing that the longer term friendships and relationships are more valuable than some short term petty disagreements. I’ve heard recently that developing character is deciding to stick with the plan, long after the buzz and initial shine has worn off.

Many exciting things are racing towards us this year, and with the world becoming more crazy and uncertain – it will bide us well to enter into the year motivated, prepared and excited. Assemble too, is changing, and that’s a good thing. Sometimes one wants to resist change because it brings with it uncertainty and difficulties – however, change also brings growth and fresh opportunities.

We delve into this new year appreciating every client we’ve had through the years, because they have been a part of our journey, giving us opportunities to build great things. We appreciate every person that is working with us and has worked with us, both directly and indirectly – because they’ve helped to define our culture and impress our standards, always aiming for better.

This year we’re looking at opening doors in training ourselves and others. We’re looking at launching products into completely new architectures that are more scalable and robust. We’re looking at reaching out into new programming languages in order that we can embrace new opportunities and whole new markets. We’re refining our internal processes to be more efficient and transparent. These are definitely days of change, and I for one am excited to be a part of it.

If you’re with us on this journey, buckle up and hold on! If you’re not, join us – help us define our story by being a part of this chapter. For everyone – a prosperous 2017 – do amazing things, appreciate every moment with your friends and family, and let’s keep our eyes where they should be in these interesting times.
